Pop-up Exhibition

From the 2nd - 7th of March I was involved in a small pop-up exhibition with other final year photography students. For this Exhibition, I was involved with the preparation of the exhibition space, this involved painting the walls, and hanging my own work and also others that were not able to do so. The exhibition gave me the opportunity to think through how my work could be displayed, the sizes of the image, the paper that it was printed on etc. Overall, we had a successful opening night and it was an experience I was glad to be a part of and would be part of something similar if given the opportunity again.

Project Development

11/03/20

After speaking with multiple lecturers about the work I was creating throughout my project and where it is going I have opted to take a turn in my work and shoot the photographs in a new way.  Previously I have been experimenting with different ways of masking the body, however, moving forward I want to experiment with the idea of taking 2 portraits of the same person that are completely different and then placing these together. I plan to take a deadpan portrait on a white background and in contrast to this a portrait on a colourful background.

Pablo Antoli Portfolio Review

On innovation week, I was lucky enough to have a 1-1 portfolio review with Pablo Antoli. After discussing the context of my work Pablo was able to suggest to me a few research points that I could further look into in order to develop my project. After this myself and Pablo looked into various options of how the work could be sequenced when being exhibited. This session gave me ideas to reflect upon in my own time with the hopes of my work further developing.
